Smallville: “Persuasion” Review

Surprisingly good. The biggest bring down of the episode is the gemstone kryptonite storyline that causes Lois to become a stepford-esque girlfriend in ridiculous, cringe worthy fasion. I was able to stomach it until Lois started dancing around like Joseph Gordan Levitt in (500) Days of Summer…only without the awesome song and ability to shoot outdoors.

The episode was pretty good for the Kandorian storyline. Some questions were answered with disappointing results, but the reactions of the characters to this revelation was what made the arc worth it. Ultimately the gemstone story is only good for giving Clark the ability to finally get some clear answers from Zod and Tess resulting in some very cool confrontations.

A solid episode that in spite of potentially writting themselves into wall in a certain area, gets points for cool confrontation moments, Tess in a bath tub, and a bad ass ending! 8/10
